June 18, 2010 – 11:39 amMy favourite story of the week comes from Alliance Ohio where a woman there has just spent 3 days in jail for calling the police emergency line FIVE times…the reason………she was looking for a husband!!!!!!!!!!!!
The police dispatcher was flabbergasted by her requests and said to Audrey Scott ” You really do need to get a husband and 57 year old Audrey responded ” Yes I do, that’s what I’m calling for ..I want a husband…. find me a husband”. Audrey was told that she could face arrest for misusing the emergency call line. She responded ” Let’s do it.” So police did it.
Audrey was convicted last week for improper use of the emergency system and was sentenced to 3 days in jail which she had already served since her arrest.
After her release Audrey blamed the case on alcohol. I would never have guessed.
